Co-created and performed by BIONICA! (Zoe Balasch and Isabel Andrés) April 2017, Androlikou, Cyprus. Project selected to be developed at the EcoArt Incubator Cyprus and premiered at Sites Embodied Cyprus Ecology and Arts Festival 2017. Granted by Ramón Llull Catalan Culture Institute.
Site-specific performance with dance-theater and video-projections about the ecological impact of the quarries in the Akamas National Park, Cyprus. The piece unfolds through different scenes corresponding to the different layers of the problem. Every scene, so every layer, expresses itself through a different media: dance-theatre, text readings, public interaction, video projections and sound. From pointing the conflict, to it’s expression through press and literature to end opening up people’s empowerment in front of the challenge.
